Hee hee some up to date equivalents:
Mix tape = CD of songs that make you think about them or you send the songs to them on MSN
Writing on/in your notebook about them = taking a photo of them with your camera phone (just for laughs obviously) and then using photoshop to add your photo in with them!
Sending notes = sending them secret texts in class/at work
Wear their jacket = put a special ring tone for them on your phone and add a photo of you as a couple as the background on your phone
Also things people do now:
Facebook & MSN:
• Add their partner and then kick/block them when they break up and immediately change their status to single
• Constantly check on the status and whereabouts of their partner using them
• Try to make someone jealous using these
