First loves

Someone recently sparked the question, how do you get over your first love? Well , it depends I'm starting to think. If your first love was taken from this earth, you will always love them. Nothing left to kill that powerful love. But most cases, they leave. They leave you in the cold wondering, why? It takes time. Alot of time, alot of patience, and alot of people in your life to remind you how awesome you really are.
After a break up, we often forget who we are, and all we can think about is that one person. Memories of them, they dance in our minds, our nights away as they once played out on a prom floor or wedding hall. But what about other memories of your life? What about who you are? You cant forget everything else that has happened in your life because of this one person. Obviously they werent important enough to stay in your life now were they?
I loved my ex. I loved her very very much. I dont love her anymore though. I could never be with the girl again. I know that for sure. Something happened recently, which maybe I'll explain later, but everything suddely just turned grey to me. All the memories, I just.. couldnt harbor any emotion towards them. They were grey. I only hope they stay this way. Who knows, This whole experience is sorta like a rollercoaster. The only thing that hurt was... the fact that I knew what had just happened. It ended for me. The what ifs.. ended. The chances, ended. I'll explain more on what happened later , its pretty late, or earlier, right now.. depending on how you look at it. I dont intend on being any's fool anymore. Want me? your gunna have to chase me? Prove the words.
The reason why I loved my ex so dearly, was because I thought she was "different". That special one. That is not the case. I was just blind. In fact, funny thing is she is worst then the ex before her of mine. Haha, I remember once never being able to see that. Sad yes.
Live in the now, live in the present. Let the past go. Let it go. Stop holding onto those memories of color, let them turn grey, and make the move from your heart to your mind. And in time, the mind will put them behind it, or throw them away entirely. It wont happen if you keep holding on though, it wont happen. Let them go. So they can let go of you.
The world is a vast beautiful place, filled with like people. You'll find your princess, and she will be different this time.




I hope this mentality stays with me.

Hey mate,

The age old saying 'love is blind', is extremely accurate. When we're hurting, we all think she/he is 'the one' and that special and 'different' someone we all long to meet. It's only when enough time has passed that we can look back with absolute clarity and a clear, logical mind (and healed heart!), that we were so completely wrapped up in 'them', we couldn't see the forest for the trees.

Nice one City, I hope you can stick with your current mindset and finally put your ex to bed (not literally lol!). I'm truly glad to hear you're moving forward. Keep it up my friend.

Hmmm,..

Although I'm sure it was a shock for you to find that out, you're right that this needs to be the driving force for you to let go. Not to think you're letting go, yet still secretly wonder/think/wish. I have to admit, it concerns me a little that you still seem to know little details about her that you really shouldn't be knowing. That you appear to be obsessing a little over when she checks out your page. Try to let that all go too mate, let it all go. Her, her bs, her movements,...all of it. If you need to get angry, get angry, but let it all go and be free now. Allow yourself to be free from this. No more pain, no more yearning.

yup agreed. It was funny how I found out this story.. tried to delete an old link, ended up clicking on it and boom, found out. I deleted the link after tho But yeah, this will be the driving force for me.
