A Cheaters story !

Well of my sins I cheated on my ex.

This led to the breakup of my 4 year relationship.

I was on a stag night in Berlin, I got chatting to a pretty German girl, and well one thing led to another and I was back at her place.

As soon as I left I knew Id did the wrong thing, I was drunk, a pretty girl showed me some attention and I took it.

I told my ex, I would never lie to her, it was over there and then, she had been cheated on before by previous boyfriends, I never stood a chance.

She fell to her knees and cried and cried, I broke her heart.

I have regretted it everyday since, 15 mins of fun turned my life upside down.

If I had the chance again, I wouldnt cheat but I dont regret telling her, guess im that kind of guy.

I know the saying once a cheat always a cheat but in my case ive learnt my lesson the very hard way, never again.

Darryl,life is about making mistakes.Without mistakes we do not learn and better ourselves.Your mistake cost you so much,but it has turned you into a far better man than you were.

So something positive did come out of all your heartache.Your next true love is going to be a lucky girl.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I too come from a place where I made a lot of mistakes in my last relationship, with someone who I thought was the love of my life..Now I realize that even though i couldnt make it work with her I am now a much better man, a much better person and whoever finds me next, well she is in for a treat....i messed up soooo much in sooooooooooo many different ways that I think an expert of that....the difference is that now I know when I am going to mess up before I do it and now I have the tools, the experience and the bitter taste of what happens once I do to stop it.

Whoever says you live and you learn was very right!

Yeah seems like weve walked the same road man, BUT we have learned the hard way albeit, keep rolling with it, everything happens for a reason and welcome man !

I have kept up with your story since I have been a part of the forum....Diffiuclt at times to read all that you have gone thru, the struggles and then one day, you started to forgive yourself. That was the turning point!

You have indeed learned from your mistake and I do believe you will make sure to never make it again! I do believe we live, we learn, and we hopefully grow as an individual...you are one of our "success" stories....BRAVO!

You are on your way my friend....and I agree with Buster, the next lady will be very lucky indeed!

Far out Darryl this must of been one of the hardest decisions for you to make...I could'nt tell her if i knew i would lose her and it was a one off, but thats me.You did what was right for you and thats all that matters.I have never cheated and your story reinforces that everybody loses by it.
I wish she could of forgiven you in those circumstances but obviously being burnt before was to hard for her.You told your truth mate and it takes a man to do that even though your consequences were huge.I'm glad you have got through it and learnt from it.
