Hi all,

I've away from TLL for a little bit as I had a 5 day dance camp to run last week and it took up all of my spare time. So now I'm back to say hello and share some news with you all....my good friends.

First of all - if it wasn't for people like Dave, Insight, Virgo etc I would not be here. These guys have been wonderful and have inspired me to help myself and move on with my life. To not let myself be walked all over by a person who didn't love me or even seem to care for me as a friend. I had to realise I'd been apart from this guy for 8 months and it was time to move forward. I read the threads here, bought and absorbed countless books about healing, saw my counsellor and got myself back on track slowly. Started going out again and seeing friends too.

That's where the good news comes in. Because I was feeling better about myself I attracted a new person to me. He said that he saw me and thought, "What a striking, vivacious woman she is," and he asked me out. No way anyone would have thought that a few months back. We both have had our own sad experiences and have been hurt but we also both agree that our past - with all it's trials and tribulations - happy and sad times - is what makes us who we are today. We are similar people emotionally and find it easy to talk about anything we need too - especially when those old insecurities come out.

And don't worry, we are taking things slowly but there is a mutual attraction between us that is strong and he is doing everything right :) He calls me and texts me for no reason other than so say 'hi' each day. He arranges dates for us, surprises me, tells me how much he loves to just 'be' with me. I haven't had this for a very long time (years in fact) and it feels wonderful.

Dave...you were so right. We all deserve someone who wants us, cherishes us and treats us with respect and care. It feels wonderful and right and most of all...it feels peaceful. No more drama, no more wondering, wishing, worrying. Not knowing if you are wanted or not. Many people seem to confuse 'peace' with 'no spark.' Not true!!! The drama is bad.

Anyway....thanks to all here who helped me along the way. I'm certainly not going anywhere, I'll be here to chat and help. Like I said, it's early days yet, but being treated respectfully and wih care is the first step - and it feels great!!! You CAN find someone who will treat you this way. Don't accept anything less.

Thanks all. I'm not sure where it will all lead yet - but it certainly is nice to be treated like a lady again. I'm just enjoying it for what it is. Have all the time in the world so there is no need to rush anything.

But I can say that I was on a healing kick when we did meet. I would never have attracted anyone in the state I was in months before. I am still healing each day and still need all of TLL friends to keep me on the right track.

Congrats Frang....this is great to hear and you are welcome for whatever peace we were able to provide. As much as we have helped your journey, know that you have often provided the sunshine to our rainy days.

Take your time with wherever this path takes you but enjoy every minute of it. Just knowing how you have healed and being there to witness it makes me smile :smile1:

Keep healing and know that we are here. We promise to always assist you with anything you need. Just know we need you as well, that's what friend are for. We help each other.
