I was in long term relationship, we were together everyday and he had said he planned to be w me the rest of his life ....now I'll just get to the point-- he recently got arrested for domestic violence on me.. no it wasn't the first time and pls don't ask why I stayed or anything like that.. Domestic violence is very very difficult to pull yourself out of for women of any background .. So so sad and heartbreaking, I'm not 100% sure I can make it through, there's a court case now against him there may be a hearing I have to testify at soon unless the d.a. and his lawyer arrive at a plea deal

The truth is that if he's violent, he doesn't love you. You cannot make him love you. The good part is that you have the opportunity to invest all of that love into yourself and meet someone who will truly appreciate you. It will take time to heal wounds, but every day will get easier. I would suggest also seeing a domestic violence counsellor. They're great. They can help you through the hardest stages. Remember that you are free to be you now and you are worth it.
