    Default baby update.

    hey guys!

well, i had to go to the dr. monday due to some light bleeding (sorry if that is tmi) and the ordered a sonogram and ultrasound. i was surprised/excited to be able to see the baby and hear the heart beat at just under 6 weeks!

i got a call from one of my dr.'s last night saying that she'd like me to get an additional ultrasound done in about a week because they found a spot where i am bleeding outside the gestational sac. she also said that the heart beat was a little slow, so she'd like to see what the baby is up to in a week.

i'm supposed to avoid exercise, stress, sex, and lifting for the next week.

she reassured me that this is uncommon and that the blood was VERY tiny, but i am still really nervous. i'm trying to think happy thoughts and stay positive because my sister keeps telling me that the baby feels what i feel, so i'm just hoping for the best.

i'm not sure how many people here know anything about pregnancy, but i am mostly just looking for support and prayers. this is an unplanned pregnancy, but i have gotten very excited and pretty attached already to the baby, so the thought of anything bad happening is pretty devastating.

thanks, guys and i'll keep you updated!

Well I have had two pregnancies myself. Best advice I can give is not to worry. Right now you know nothing for sure and chances are everything is ok! So concentrate on that and keep all of the worrying and stress behind you.

    Please keep us updated!

    Hi Suzie~

I too have had two pregnancies. I agree with Majic, don't worry as there is nothing right now to worry about and it will cause you stress. Keep thinking happy thoughts, stay positive and do what the doctor is telling you to do.

I have you in my thoughts and prayers.

I have not had ANY pregnancies so I am NOT the one...BUT..I am going to go with MaJiK's and Sphynx on this on. Go with what you know...not with what you don't know.

I am sure everything is going great!

    Luv ya Suzie!

No pregnancy here. I did knock my wife up twice and working on a third if that counts. Definitely don't stress about it. Like Dave said, don't worry about the unknown. You can make up all kinds of unknowns to worry about if you head down that path. Trust in your doctors and do what they say. I remember while my wife was pregnant, there were all kinds of little scares. You'll get through it.

    okay...

today, i'm having a really hard time focusing on anything. i called my dr. this morning to see if my HcG levels came back yet to see if they were increasing and the nurses line didn't answer, so i left a message. she called back, but i missed the call (of course!) and she left a message saying that my dr. wanted her to go over the results with me. i called back and have been calling back about every 10 minutes for the last 3 hours and they haven't picked up. i left one message for them to call me back and haven't heard anything.

i am trying to calm down, but finding it incredibly difficult to even focus or work today. on top of that, i'm exhausted, so i can't really keep my eyes open anyway.

i'm sorry i haven't been much help with everyone lately, i just am so overwhelmed with thoughts.

I am sorry you missed the call and your having a hard time focusing and you "worried".. if I can offer some support and encouragement I would like to say that if something was "wrong" doctors would have the nurse schedule you to come in, not go over results over the phone....Take a deep breath, think positive thoughts, we all tend to think the worse. My thoughts are with you.

Exactly what SPHYNX said - they would have asked you to come in if something was wrong. Take a deep breathe and get used to the exhaustion - it is going to last for a while! =) I think it is just your bodys way to remind you that you need to take it easy. It constantly tells your brain OMG I AM SOOOOO TIRED! =) You will make it though!

Hey, Suzie! I hope you and the little one are doing okay. Please keep us updated.

Like Dave and Rhythm, I have not had any pregnancies either, but I agree that the best thing to do now (though it's hard, I now) is RELAX. In the NON-Frankie Goes to Hollywood sense. Because...I don't know if you've ever seen that video...but it's a bit weird.

    Love you!

    hey guys!

i spent a lot of time sleeping this weekend. even with all the sleep, i'm still exhausted. every little bit of energy i exert, it just exhausts me; making it through the work day is becoming more and more tough!

i have a brand new respect for women with children, haha. the baby isn't even here yet and i am pooped!

the nurse ended up calling me back at around 3 after i left another message - she apologized for making me feel anxious, she simply forgot to call me back. it turned out to be - and this will be way too much information - a bad yeast infection.

other than that, my HcG levels were doubling and all the other tests came back fine. i am looking forward to my second sonogram this week. i'll be making the appointment tonight and steven is going with me

i'm crossing my fingers in hopes that the heart beat sounds great this time! prayers are always welcome! thanks for all the support, guys. i was really a mess friday and i expect it'll be like that for a while - pregnancy on top of already being a super sensitive person is a fantastic combo!
